forcefield flow particle trace

Nikolaus Gradwohl2016-11-24T03:38:59+00:00

I created another particle set that interacts with a turbulence force field with the flow parameter set. This time I used the bTrace addon to trace 500 particles and create the purple particle trails. The bTrace addon creates the curves by stepping through all frames, taking the particle position and adding a new vertex to the curve.

I copied the purple material to all curves by selecting them and selecting Ctrl-L and "Material"

ico sphere vertex traces

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-09-23T06:20:33+00:00

for this animation I used the btrace-addon to trace the vertices of a randomly moved and scaled ico-sphere

curve and fluid

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-06-10T06:33:24+00:00

For this animation I used the bTrace addon to trace some particles and added another particle system that generates particles for a isosurface.

btrace tentacles

Nikolaus Gradwohl2013-11-29T06:16:37+00:00

This animation was created using a particle set that is influenced by two force fields. The tentacles have been created using the bTrace addon

crawl on a sphere

Nikolaus Gradwohl2013-10-08T06:36:18+00:00

For this short animation I created a fluid particle system that crawls on a sphere in a no gravity setting and traced the particles using the btrace plugin

object traces

Nikolaus Gradwohl2013-09-23T04:46:08+00:00

For this animation I used the bTrace-addon to create a curve from a set of particles. Then I wrote a small python script that copies the current state of the curve every 5 frames. I animated the visibility of the copies to make them appear only if the original curve has passed this position to create a 3D onion skinning like effect.

Day 6 of 30DaysOfCreativity - a Particle Knot

Nikolaus Gradwohl2013-06-06T06:11:04+00:00

This animation was created using the btrace addon. I created a particle system and used a turbulence field to move the particles. This time I used the btrace addon to create a curve through all the particles.

This is my Day 6 project for 30daysofcreativity

Day 4 of 30DaysOfCreativity - Particle Curves 3

Nikolaus Gradwohl2013-06-04T06:01:41+00:00

I really start to like the btrace addon :-) For this animation I moved a no-physics particle system on an icosphere along a spiral. Then I traced the particles to curves. This time I used auto instead of vector as the curves handle types which smooths the curve a lot.
