vertex emission

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-09-21T06:39:18+00:00

for this animation I used the vertices of a icosphere as emission points for a particle system

frozen particles

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-09-16T06:23:08+00:00

For this animation I created a particle system and froze time

changing forces

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-09-14T06:05:50+00:00

for this animation I used several different force-fields to influence the movement of cubic particles

point-density node experiment

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-09-09T06:26:28+00:00

For this animation I used the gooseberry-branch of blender 2.75. I made a volumetric material using the point-density texture node to create a cloud and added some red point lamps to a second particle sytem from the same emitter.

you can download the blend file here

If you want to run this blend file make sure you use the gooseberry branch of blender 2.75 - the point-density texture node isn't available in the stable branch yet

particle forcefield interaction

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-09-08T06:10:57+00:00

for this animation I let a lot of particles interact with two forcefields

bubble cells

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-09-02T06:27:39+00:00

For this animation I used two iso-surfaces using the cubesurfer addon on a particle system. The I used the boolean modifier to calculate the difference between the two meshes.

grid dof

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-08-18T07:11:19+00:00

for this animation I used spherical particles aligned on a subdivided plane that is animated by a displacement modifier

fly away

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-07-21T06:25:30+00:00

For this animation I used an explode modifier on a subdivided cube mesh, that is triggered by a particlesystem. The particles are moved by a turbulence-, a vortex- and a forcefiled. Rendered with cycles and freestyle

torus density texture

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-07-09T06:44:50+00:00

For this animation I used a particle texture that influences the particle density on a torus and a turbulence force field

colorful density texture

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-07-08T06:36:57+00:00

I used a particle texture that influences the particle density and lifetime on a cube. The color of the particles is dependent of the particle location
