blender physics experiments - collision

Nikolaus Gradwohl2012-10-23T03:51:57+00:00

For this part of my blender physics experiments I made a zero-gravity collision in slow motion

For this part of my blender physics experiments I dropped the word "physics"

For this part of my blender physics experiment I stacked some boxes and smashed a sphere into them

blender fluid experiments - text obstacles

Nikolaus Gradwohl2012-09-26T05:47:10+00:00

for this part of my blender fluid experiments I turned a textobject into a mesh and used it as an obstacle for a fluid

blender particle experiments - splash

Nikolaus Gradwohl2012-03-02T06:19:53+00:00

for this part of my blender particle experiments I experimented a bit with particles as a dynamic paint brush - which is really cool and enables a whole range of new effects.

I also added a softbody object to have something that generates the splash

Blender particle experiments - fluid particles

Nikolaus Gradwohl2012-02-10T05:45:39+00:00

Blender has a very nice particle system which I used a lot recently. But I only scratched the surface of the possibillities the blender particle system offers. So I desided to make a series of short videos to explore the blender particle features.

In my first short video I changed the particle type to 'fluid'. This is not to be confused with the fluid simulation but generates particles that behave like a hight viscouse liquid. I used simple spheres to render the particles here

Mole hills in blender with dynamic paint

Nikolaus Gradwohl2012-01-18T06:46:00+00:00

This animation was made using dynamic paint on a rectangular canvas. The brush is a invisible sphere that changes the weightpaint of a vertex group (used to remove the grass) and a displacement modifier (used to generate the mole hills).
