This Weekend I turned a small Ikea coffee table into a BeyBlade-Arena for my kids.

First I sanded off the original color of the Ikea parts. The table has been laying around in the cellar for quite some time and there were lots of scratches in the black finish.

Then I made a wooden frame the same size as the table. The frame got glued and screwd to the table-top.

Then I painted the whole.

To make the frame a bit more resistant to the BeyBlades I added a strip of aluminium on the inside of the frame.

and just for the protocol: curious cats are NOT helpfull when doing woodwork or trying to paint a table.
