eevee fluid simulation particles

Nikolaus Gradwohl2020-06-23T02:54:12+00:00

I started playing with the new Fluid simulator in blender and rendered only the particle systems using eevee.

Texture forcefield experiment 10 - smoke curl

Nikolaus Gradwohl2016-02-25T06:21:15+00:00

For this Texture Forcefield experiment I used a texture field in curl mode to influence some smoke

Texture forcefield experiment 9 - voronoi field smoke

Nikolaus Gradwohl2016-02-24T05:52:18+00:00

For this Texture Forcefield Experiment I used an Voronoi texture in a forcefield to influence the smoke from a smoke simulation. I rendered the scene using blender 2.77 testbuild 2 to give the new cycles GPU smoke rendering a try. To my surprise rendering smoke on the GPU hat far less noise than rendering it with the CPU using the same settings. Maybe thats just because its a testbuild.

ocean slices

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-12-15T06:23:42+00:00

for this animation I used an ocean simulation modifier on a plane and then sliced it up using two boolean modifiers on an array of cubes.

fluid bubbles

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-10-08T06:29:11+00:00

for this animation I used 2 particle systems. A newton system for the smaller bubbles and fluid system with an iso-surface for the large bubbles

smoke density selection

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-10-06T06:17:57+00:00

for this animation I used a smoke sim and a volume material. The material only selects part of the density values using a color-ramp node. The smoke has no temperature difference but is moved by a turbulence force-field

rigid body drop

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-08-28T06:44:20+00:00

For this animation I used a bunch of different sized meshes and dropped them on a plane using the rigid body physics simulation

softbody parameter grid

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-07-24T06:33:21+00:00

For this softbody experiment I varied the "pull" and the "Bending Stiffness" parameter of some spheres and ordered them in a grid to see how they affect the behaviour of the softbody simulation. On the x-axis the pull parameter is changed on the y-axis the bending stiffness parameter is changed

sofbody turbulence

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-07-23T06:08:00+00:00

for this experiment I used a sphere and a turbulence force-filed. I turned of the gravity influence on the softbody so only the turbulence field influences the shape

softbody experiment - needle

Nikolaus Gradwohl2015-07-22T06:49:08+00:00

for this animation I dropped a softbody on a pointy needle in slowmotion
